Direct Marketing and Promotional Communications Policy
The Environmental Health Engineering and Management Journal (EHEMJ), in its commitment to upholding the dignity of the scholarly community, respecting researchers' time, and adhering to the highest standards of international publishing ethics (including the guidelines of DOAJ and COPE), is dedicated to conducting all direct marketing activities and promotional communications with principles of honesty, transparency, purposefulness, and mutual respect.
1. Fundamental Principles of Communications All direct marketing activities, including but not limited to email campaigns, calls for papers, and other promotional materials conducted on behalf of the journal or its publisher, must possess the following characteristics:
  • Honesty and Accuracy: All information provided about the publisher, journal, aims and scope, indexing status, and publication services must be entirely truthful, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Avoidance of Misleading Claims: The journal strictly avoids any exaggerated claims, false promises regarding acceptance rates, impact factors, or review speeds that could mislead authors or readers.
  • Targeted and Unobtrusive Approach: Invitations to submit manuscripts or other communications must be well-targeted and directed only to individuals or institutions whose areas of expertise align with the journal's subject matter. These communications must be unobtrusive and professional.
2. Complete Independence from Editorial Process The journal's marketing and promotional activities will, under no circumstances and in no way, influence the peer-review process or editorial decisions. Decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts are based solely on scientific merit, originality, and research quality, and are entirely independent of commercial or marketing considerations.
3. Respect for Privacy and Right to Opt-out EHEMJ respects the privacy of message recipients. All emails or direct marketing communications will include a clear and simple method for "unsubscribing from future messages" (Unsubscribe / Opt-out). User requests to unsubscribe will be honored promptly and without any additional inquiries.
4. Oversight and Accountability All marketing texts and campaigns are reviewed by the journal office or the Editor-in-Chief prior to distribution to ensure full compliance with publishing ethics standards. In the event of receiving any complaints regarding misleading content or intrusive communications, the matter will be immediately investigated and appropriate corrective action will be taken.
